  • The Housing Authority helps with HUD programs for low income, elderly, veterans and the disabled – they do not have immediate or emergency housing.

  • Section 8 Federal Vouchers Program

  • currently a wait list even if qualified

  • Public Housing Units as available (in Ontario – brick duplexes with green roofs)

  • Subsidized rent

  • For families of 2 or more

  • Must have at least 2 year rent history

  • Elderly/Disabled Complex  -  Riverside Manor

  • Studio or one bedroom

  • Rent based on income

  • Low Income Apartments – Parkview Village Apts.

  • 2-4 bedroom

  • May be available at reduced rent while waiting for Section 8

Interfaith Sanctuary provides a safe overnight emergency shelter for up to 164 men, women and families with children. Our Supportive Services Team helps guests identify and set goals that will lead to a successful transition out of homelessness. The shelter is open at 6:00 pm every night and closes at 7:00 am (Sundays - 8:00 am). The shelter is located at 1620 W. River Street. Individuals seeking shelter can arrive at 6:00 pm. No pre-registration or referrals are necessary. Interfaith opening up for Daytime Family Program Mon-Fri 8:am - 5 pm. Pre-K/Early Education Programs/ Parenting Classes/ Nap-time/ Case Management/ Life Skills/ Fitness/After-School Programs/Nutritional meals & healthy snacks/ Love Mother And Daughter 

 

Salvation Army Winter Shelter

The Salvation Army Community Family Shelter provides rooms for families who need a temporary place to stay during the coldest part of winter. This program provides housing for up to 90 days to keep them out of the cold and give them a chance to find permanent housing.
