In the event of a death, call 911.

When a Church member dies, the bishop may offer to hold services to help comfort the living and pay respectful tribute to the deceased. Services for people who die vary according to religion, culture, tradition, and local laws.

The following instructions can help bishops plan gospel-centered services for the deceased while respecting these variations.
